Calling all Members - Station Meeting on June 10 @ 5pm

Greetings dear membership!

Wow! What a wild ride this second quarter of our board term has been. Often it's seemed that, at the same time we're gaining good will and garnering support, we're riding the thin edge of financial and corporate disaster. All in a days work for a local community radio station I suppose!

One thing I'm proud of as Chairperson is that through it all we've kept our eye on finding ways to fix our communication with you, the membership. Just the fact that you're getting this email is a brilliant (and necessary) step in the right direction.

With this idea of forward progress in mind, I am requesting that for anyone willing and able, please consider attending an informal station meeting this Tuesday, June 10 at 5pm. If you're unable to attend, maybe you'd write us at info@chcr.org and:

• remind us if you've offered to volunteer in the past, or are willing to now
• send us requests for music, show themes, or sponsors to approach
• offer any insights into strategies for fundraising that have worked for the station in the past
• offer words of support or sober second thought about keeping the station open into the future

I would love to see you all there! RSVPing would let us know if we'll need a bigger venue, but please do just come by the station (14 Lake St. in Killaloe, behind Garth's Kitchen) even if you don't get a hold of us.
